Instructor, All paths team

Rev. Johanna Bell, M.Div.

Rev. Johanna Bell, M.Div., is an interspiritual minister and contemplative educator. Johanna is a core faculty member, a mentor, and Sacred Companion at All Paths Divinity School, where she also received her Master of Divinity. Discovering All Paths marked a profound homecoming, offering the theological breadth and spiritual support that allowed her mystic, embodied, and Divine Feminine ministry to emerge with clarity and confidence.

A graduate of American University with a degree in Theatre Arts, Johanna spent a decade performing professionally before transitioning into full time spiritual leadership. Her background in dance and theatre continues to shape her teaching, grounded in the conviction that the body itself is a vessel of revelation and that movement, breath, and voice can become forms of prayer.

For over two decades, she has immersed herself in non-dual yoga philosophy and contemplative practice, studying with teachers including Sri Dharma Mittra, Christopher Tompkins, Sally Kempton, Lorin Roche, and Guru Dharam Khalsa. Her formation also includes years of Indigenous ceremonial study including work with Peruvian guide Juan Ruiz Naupari (of Pneuma International), deepening her understanding of sacred reciprocity, ritual practice, and communal belonging.

Alongside these streams, Johanna’s path turned more explicitly toward the teachings of Jesus and the mystical Christ. She was ordained as an Interspiritual Minister through All Paths at the Parliament of the World’s Religions and continues advanced mentorship in Christian mysticism and sacred activism with Andrew Harvey. Her immersion in the Aramaic prayer tradition, shaped by the work of Neil Douglas-Klotz, informs her understanding of the Gospel as a living invitation into embodied compassion and courageous love.

Johanna is passionate about spiritual formation that moves beyond theory into lived realization. In her teaching, contemplative silence, scripture, ritual, creativity, and justice rooted action are woven together as integrated pathways of awakening.

She is the partner of fellow mystic Jim Bell and mother to Lucia, whom she considers her most profound teachers in relational holiness and incarnational love. Through mentorship and year long formation programs, she guides emerging ministers in embodying the wisdom they study, bringing light into lived, communal practice.
